The West Point Triathlon team has hosted a very successful summer triathlon series that hosts over 1000 competitors and separate kids events each August. The event requires hundreds of volunteers and community coordination, but raises significant funds used for the club’s competition and recruiting budget.
Adellio:Creative’s Managing Director, Danica Elliott, was given the responsibility to expand on this success and launch a new event, the West Point Duathlon. The event was built from the ground up using the same structure as the Triathlon, but offered in the New York springtime, early in the training season, there were different challenges that the Director faced. Marketing, branding, volunteer engagement, community coordination, safety and security force coordination, state and local authorities were all organized for the inaugural event. The West Point Duathlon was immediately profitable and has had momentum and growth in each subsequent year.
